Products: Billion 5200SRD 1 Port ADSL Modem/Router with Firewall
Comments: At 132 x 93.6 x 37mm the "pocket router" description sure fits. Perfect for the budget conscious, or with it's bridging & half-bridging capabilities would suit someone seeking a basic modem to bridge to another more advanced router. Billion 5200 RC 4 Port ADSL Modem/Router
Comments: A basic 4 port ADSL modem replacing the 5200 model. Also available wireless in the 5200GRC Billion 5200GRC 4 Port 802.11G Wireless ADSL Modem/Router
Comments: An entry level 802.11g wireless ADSL modem. Replacement for the 52004R4 with the new white case design that Billion have been gradually changing to over the last year or two. Price & features remain unchanged but it does use a 15v/0.7A power supply which is the first one of its type I've seen for Billion (usually they're a 12V/1A or 12V/1.2A or more recently a 15V/1.6A on some newer models) so the circuitry inside is definitely different. At the time of writing it didn't have it's own firmware to download from the Billion support site but I expect that will be the case in due course so don't try installing firmware meant for the older 5200/5200GR4 models without advice from Billion in the meantime. Click here to test drive the configuration menus Billion 5200NRC 4 Port 802.11N Wireless ADSL Modem/Router
Comments: A cheap and cheerful 802.11n wireless ADSL modem replacing the 5200N. Features remain the same but it now features two antennas instead of three indicating a change of chipset. Billion 5210S RC 1 Port + USB ADSL Modem/Router with Firewall
Comments: Replaces the 5210S with a different chipset and case design. Perfect for the buyer with basic requirements or someone needing a basic modem to use as a bridge to plug into a more advanced router. Billion 6200NXL 802.11N Wireless Router with Ethernet WAN Port & USB Port for 3G modem
Comments: The 6200NXL features two USB ports for a 3G modem* and to connect a USB Hard Drive or even a webcam. Unfortunately it can't handle two 3G USB modems at this stage but it may be considered in a future firmware release. However, it does have an ethernet WAN port to allow a separate ADSL or Cable modem to be connected which can then be set up to allow failover to the 3G connection in the event of an outage. * Click here for compatible 3G modems. Billion 7300RA 4 Port ADSL Modem/Router with QoS & SPI Firewall
Comments: Replacement for the 7300 (RA stands for Revision A) with a new white case design and a new combined Trend wireless and modem chipset and SOLOS Operating System. Features remain identical to the 7300 but firmware versions will be different so be sure you download the correct one. Billion 7300GRA 4 Port 802.11G Wireless ADSL Modem/Router with Parental Control
Comments: A basic 802.11g wireless ADSL modem with an SPI firewall and QoS. Billion 7300N 4 Port 802.11N Wireless Router with ADSL modem and Ethernet WAN Port
Comments: The main difference from the cheaper 5200N is that the 7300N features a LAN port that can be reconfigured as a WAN port to allow connection of an external ethernet modem such as a Cable or FTTH modem instead of using its built-in ADSL modem. Note that it is not a true dual-WAN product as such and will not allow load sharing or failover between two broadband connections. Click here to test drive the configuration menus. Billion 7800NL 802.11N Wireless ADSL modem/router
Comments: A 4 port 802.11n wireless modem with good security options and QoS. Similar to the 7800N including the broadcom chipset but without the giga-switch and ethernet WAN port option. IPv6 support is included in the latest firmware. Billion 7800N 802.11N Wireless Router with ADSL modem, Ethernet WAN Port & 4 port giga-switch
Comments: A step up from the 7300N with a 4 port gigaswitch instead of 10/100 which along with its 802.11n wireless gives the best of both worlds in LAN data speeds. The 7800N is the only Billion product at the time of writing featuring a broadcom chipset which is generally regarded as offering a more stable connection on borderline line conditions and some ISP equipment such as iiNet's. Note: This is not a true dual-WAN product as such as it will not allow load sharing or failover between two broadband connections. The extra ethernet WAN port is purely an either/or situation. Billion 7301VGP 4 Port 802.11G Wireless ADSL Modem/Router with VoIP (1 x FXS + 1 x FXO)
Comments: Technically this is the 7301VGPM version with Annex A & Annex M support but Billion Australia have decided to drop the M on the end and just call it the 7301VGP because the VGPA & VGPB versions won’t be released here. At first glance it appears to be a reincarnation of the old 7401VGPM but while is has same features and case design and also the same features as the current 7401VGPR3 model it's different on the inside. (Read older/cheaper technology compared to the newer/faster 7401VGPR3). Basically, it's cheap and cheerful and does the job just fine but if you want the latest and greatest and don't mind paying a couple of dollars more then go for the 7401VGPR3 instead. Click here to test drive the configuration menus Billion 7401VGPR3 4 Port 802.11G Wireless Router with ADSL Modem, Ethernet WAN Port & VoIP (1 x FXS + 1 x FXO)
Comments: The 7401VGPR3 replaces the 7401VGPM with a new case design and chipset. Features other than that remain largely the same and it remains one of the more cost effective modems with VoIP hardware built-in. New feature added October 09 is the ability to convert LAN Port 1 to an Ethernet WAN port. Either the ADSL or Ethernet WAN port can be selected as the primary connection or as a failover.
