Comments: A step up from the 7300N with a 4 port gigaswitch instead of 10/100 which along with its 802.11n wireless gives the best of both worlds in LAN data speeds. The 7800N is the only Billion product at the time of writing featuring a broadcom chipset which is generally regarded as offering a more stable connection on borderline line conditions and some ISP equipment such as iiNet's.

Note: This is not a true dual-WAN product as such as it will not allow load sharing or failover between two broadband connections. The extra ethernet WAN port is purely an either/or situation.

This modem does not work properly with TPG. Search whirlpool for the problems users are experiencing with it.

EWAN port can be used as a 5th LAN port at 10/100 speed in ADSL mode.

Very stable modem, best i’ve used :)
