I am currently using this router with an e169 modem. The setup was straight forward and it has been reliable using linux and windows based equipment. The only problem I have is occasionally (1 hour to 1 month bepending on signal strength to 3G modem) the e169 would lock up & cause the DIR-451 to lock up also, with the only cure being to un plug & re plug the DIR-451 in to reset it. It seems that this problem is actually caused by the e169 more so than the DIR-451 but it would be nice if it didn’t also lock up the DIR-451.

Never. NEVER try to use this with a Linux based PC.

I have tried relentlessly to use this unit with my Sierra AC875 Telstra Next G Card to no avail. I have spent many hours trying to get it to function including firmware upgrades on the unit and my card!
Update 18.4.08: Further to my previous rating, eventually I sent the unit back to Dlink. They said they could get the unit to work with other PCMCIA 3G cards but not the particular Sierra Wireless AC875 that I am having major troubles with. In the end they kindly refunded my money. They mentioned that a further firmware upgrade would have to be made on the unit, and this would take up to two weeks.
